Myth 1: Daily Scrum= Status meeting

Reality: Daily scrum are short meetings to disseminate information to the team. It’s a team-building exercise for the development team. The Scrum Master and product owner may or may not attend the daily Scrum. They can conduct the meeting whenever or whatever way they want.  

Myth 2: Agile teams do not document

Reality: This myth comes from an incorrect interpretation of the Agile Manifesto. 

The manifesto said that a working software development company is more important than exhaustive documentation. This does not mean that agile teams do not document.

This just means that agile teams don't do documentation at the cost of creating working software. Client facing documentation and documentation for improved communication are just a few instances of documentation that agile teams do all the time.

Myth 3: Scrum is only for Software Companies 

Reality: This is a total misconception. Scrum is a framework that helps the team build complex products. Hence it can be used to any business be it software, marketing, manufacturing, etc. In a fast-paced and changing business environment adopting a scrum framework can be a way to improve productivity.
